The Story Behind the Craft
A few years ago Jaap showed us that he was working on a project and we actively encouraged him to persue it. We’re now pleased to show you the results.
Jaap has crafted a limited edition planting trowel. Each trowel begins as high-quality stainless steel, carefully shaped and forged by hand. This process ensures strength and durability that mass-produced tools simply cannot match. Then Jaap skilfully turns the cherry wood on a lathe to form the handles. From a block of wood it takes the shape and style of the this exclusive design and it’s then topped off with a unique stainless steel pin engraved with Jaap’s initials.
Every detail — from the blade to the handle — is crafted with precision, resulting in this special tool designed to last a lifetime.
The Limited Edition Sneeboer Trowel
This special limited edition of the renowned Sneeboer Planting Trowel – Old Dutch Style has been crafted by Jaap Sneeboer himself exclusively for Creeper & Knotweed.
What sets this apart is the elegant cherry wood handle, individually turned by Jaap Sneeboer himself. The shaped handle sits comfortably in the hand, offering a good grip, and is finished with a unique stainless steel pin engraved with Jaap’s initials (JS) a discreet signature of true craftsmanship.
The trowel deserves to be recognised as a true collectors piece not least because few tools carry the soul of their maker, but this one does. This is a rare opportunity to own a unique Sneeboer creation: a quiet celebration of heritage, skill, the simple joy of working with your hands and the joy of gardening.
