Niwaki S-Type Hori Hori

This Niwaki Hori Hori is a fabulous weeding and planting tool which features a razor sharp stainless steel knife grade blade, serrated down one side for slicing through roots etc.
It also has a chunky Beech wood handle for a good grip.

A Hori Hori is often referred to as a ‘soil knife’ or ‘weeding knife’ and the word ‘hori’ means to dig in Japanese, with ‘hori-hori’ representing the digging sound. It’s also often known as a leisure knife in Japan.

It’s made to be tough and strong but should not be considered invincible. We wouldn’t therefor advise sticking it into a heavy soil and yanking it back hard as it will bend.

A very popular and much loved garden tool by many gardeners.
