Sneeboer Garden/Potting Scoop – Sustainably Made Special Limited Edition of 150
Winner! RHS Chelsea Sustainable Product of the Year 2025
The latest innovation from Sneeboer: The Garden/Potting Scoop. We have obtained several of these tools from a very special sustainably made limited edition.
Designed for precision this thoughtfully crafted tool is compact and perfect for tasks like potting, close mulching, spreading compost and working in tight spaces like containers, raised beds, and small borders.
Handmade in the Netherlands, the deep bowl shaped scoop features a stainless steel blade and an ergonomic handle individually made by the legendary Jaap Sneeboer himself from responsibly sourced European wood. For this item Jaap Sneeboer has selected wood with minor natural imperfections which may have previously just been discarded, thus reducing waste whilst giving each handle its own special and unique character. A circular practice that reduces virgin materials.
The Garden/potting Scoop is made using cutting edge laser welding technology – a precision technique that reduces energy consumption by up to 30% compared to traditional welding, whilst maintaining Sneeboer’s premium quality and ergonomics.
This handcrafted trowel also cleverly features a serrated edge that makes opening bags of potting soil, compost, or other materials effortless. No scissors or knife needed – with one motion, you can tear open the plastic bags.
Shaped and comfortable to use even during long gardening sessions, the scoop is well balanced, offers excellent control with it’s reliable grip.
Backed by a 50-year guarantee, it’s a tool built to last – and to love.

Superb Scoop
This is without doubt the best compost scoop I have ever used. The serrated edge is not only perfect for opening compost bags it also cuts through impacted soil in tubs like a hot knife through butter. I will be saving up to buy more tools from this company.
